The seat covered with plaited black webbing of polyester, vowen in Sweden and specially developed for our funiture.

Mi 471T Cover. Attached with pockets over the back and front. Stitched horizontally with paralell
seams over polyether (CMHR). Fabric needed. 150 cm by 130 cm width.
During the early 1930s, Bruno Mathsson studied the “mechanics of sitting”, including by sitting in a snowdrift and then studying the imprint his body made in the snow. In 1933, this work had led to a series of chairs, the Model 36 work-, rest- and lounge chair, which he was able to show to the public at his debut exhibition in 1936. The work chair was continuously developed further, was equipped with armrests and was given its final form in 1941. It is sold today under the name Eva.
